On June 27, 2023, the preliminary acceptance meeting of the National Greenhouse Gas Voluntary Emission Reduction Registration System and Trading System Construction Project was held in Beijing. The meeting listened to the work report of the Beijing Green Exchange on the construction of the national voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction registration system and trading system, as well as the reports and system demonstrations of the undertaking units for the construction of the two systems. In his summary, Deputy Director Lu Shize emphasized that the new national registration system for voluntary greenhouse gas emission reductions will be handed over to the National Climate Strategy Center for management in the next step.
